Fits large instead of small

Based on the fit recommendation on product page, I ordered 2/M thinking my measurements are a few inches larger than the model (mine are W27”, H38”). 2M actually fitted very loosely on me to the point that the shorts were not high-waisted anymore. I could’ve ignored that since it’s still comfy, but the leg openings were too wide with such a long inseam and it’d be like wearing a skirt for me. I’m returning this 2/M and getting a 1/S instead.
